shelly lenihan
secretary
Rochelle has been a lifelong animal lover growing up with dogs and now, along with her husband Jeff, is raising three fur babies: Lottie, Quigley, and Svenley. Rochelle was introduced to Pause 4 Paws in December 2021 and felt an instant connection with our organization. She wanted to dedicate her passion and love for animals to helping those most in need. Rochelle became a board member that same month serving in the Secretary role. A native of Sartell, MN, and graduate of the College of Saint Benedict, Rochelle has had a career as a Human Resources Leader working for Fortune 500 organizations and is now a Human Resources, Change Management and Project Management consultant with her own business, Ellehcor Business Services. Rochelle is involved with a number of nonprofits, including Concerts for Hope, and Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, both here and in her second home in Athens, Ohio. Rochelle loves spending time with her family, friends and, of course, her dogs. She enjoys a variety of activities from traveling, running, and drawing to cooking, entertaining and decorating. She is looking forward to helping drive various initiatives for P4P and truly making a difference in saving the lives of dogs and cats in desperate need, so they get the care and medical attention to thrive in homes with those lucky enough to adopt them.
NANCY GOLDSTEIN
BOARD MEMBER
Nancy has over 40 years of fundraising experience, holding vital positions with Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure and establishing Homeward Bound, Inc. in order to provide an opportunity for her son and other children with special needs to live in their communities. For over 40 years, Homeward Bound has served hundreds of children and adults living with disabilities and has grown from 1 location to 18 homes around the State of Minnesota. Bottle feeding a litter of German Shepherds as a child generated Nancy’s commitment to the animal welfare cause. When her daughter, Jill, founded Pause 4 Paws, Nancy saw the great need to help defenseless animals who have been exposed to abuse, abandonment and torture, and to address what can be extensive medical needs. Nancy serves as a core member of the board and supports P4P through a wide range of volunteer activities.
Jill Goldstein
Founder, Executive Director and Foster LiaISon
Jill Goldstein founded Pause 4 Paws and became its Executive Director in 2011. Creating this organization was a continuation of Jill's lifelong commitment to fundraising and volunteerism, modeled on the extensive work of her parents. Jill is an astute networker and advocate in the animal welfare community, guiding the organization through nearly 10 years of financial growth and giving. She was inspired to found P4P after she adopted her dog and cats from Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue and Second Chance Animal Rescue, and learned about the prevalence of euthanasia, over-population and abuse and neglect of animals. In addition to her tireless volunteer efforts on behalf of Pause 4 Paws, Jill is the founder and owner of Goldstein Mediation, a divorce mediation firm located in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Jill has a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of St. Thomas.
